Geomonitoring for NRW
Time frame: | 01/2024 – 12/2025 |
Since 2011, the ILS operates a monitoring platform for spatial development processes in the largest German urban regions. Since then, methodological improvements and interactive web applications have been implemented. In addition to trends in population and employment development, social aspects, trends in housing and construction (including rents and land prices), commuting activity and map-based assessments of urban development qualities (urban green, walkabilty) are offered. The project goal is the further development of specific questions in the urban-surrounding relationship of North Rhine-Westphalian urban regions. The project creates new and more precise spatial development parameters for specific requirements in North Rhine-Westphalia. The plan is to integrate it into the ILS's nationwide monitoring of city regions as a state-specific NRW module.
This project is carried out by ILS gGmbH.
