Client: | City of Mülheim an der Ruhr |
Partner(s): | StadtRaumKonzept GmbH |
Time frame: | 01/2017 – 12/2020 |
The City of Mülheim an der Ruhr was awarded funding by the programme “Socially Integrative City” in 2014. The programme is run by the Federal and Regional governments in Germany and focuses on disadvantaged urban areas.
In Collaboration with StadtRaumKonzept GmbH, the ILS will conduct an integrated evaluation process of the programme for “Mülheimer Innenstadt” (City Centre of Mülheim). The objectives are to identify and mediate challenges concerning the implementation of the programme.
Process and dialogue oriented evaluation procedures will be developed and implemented in an early stage of the programme. This includes the development of a series of aims and indicators. Furthermore workshops will be held in close cooperation with local actors.
To evaluate the urban regeneration, a well-balanced combination of qualitative and quantitative methods will be selected, including social monitoring, longitudinal analyses and the organisation of evaluation workshops. In cooperation with the City of Mülheim, a method of evaluation will be developed which is also transferable to other cases of urban regeneration.
